This 3D Easter Bunny Cut Out is such an easy Easter craft! It’s really so simple, that kids will love it and it makes beautiful Easter décor! All you need is cardstock, cardboard, or a thicker style of decorative paper and scissors. I did one 3D Easter bunny cut out out of polka dot craft paper, and one out of foam board to make two different sizes. The thicker the paper you use, the sturdier the bunny will be. However thicker cardboard does also make it harder to cut. I think it would be super cute if you could cut these out of wood and decorate your front step with them too! Alas I am not a carpenter and I don’t have a wood saw, but maybe one day! When I was figuring out what shapes I liked, I drew freehand with a pencil, but I have included a free printable with the shape I liked to make it even easier for you!

What you need
How To:
  1. Print out my FREE PRINTABLE STENCIL, cut out around the edges.
  2. Trace the stencil onto your paper of choice
  3. Cut out around the shape
  4. Cut the middle slits. You want the slits to come up to about halfway up each shape. For thicker cardboard you want a thicker slit (about as wide as the paper is thick). For thinner paper, a single cut as the slit will work
  5. Fit the two pieces into each other’s slits. For a sturdier construction you can glue the two slits together. However if you want to be able to take them apart for storage you can skip this step.

That’s it! Like I said this 3D Bunny Cut Out is ridiculously easy!

As a BONUS I’ve also included an Easter Egg Cut Out FREE PRINTABLE! Follow the same process, but using an egg shape for a 3D Easter Egg!
