Who doesn’t love a day at the beach? Sun, sand, and calming waves mean instant relaxation. These Amazon Beach Essentials will make sure you are prepared and stylish for your fun in the sun! In addition to these beach essentials, I also like to pack my favorite water bottle, some snacks, a book/magazine (or my kindle), and a change of clothes.

Beach Cover Up
When you’ve had too much sun, or you have to walk somewhere and don’t want to display everything throw on a cover up! These are the cutest Amazon finds! I especially love the lacey ones
Obviously sunglasses on the beach are a necessity! As much as I love the look of designer sunglasses, I can’t trust myself not to lose or scratch them if I go to the beach. Here are some cheaper alternatives that still look super cute!
Keep the sun off your face and look super stylish!
The bane of most women’s self esteem. These bathing suits from Amazon are a little more modest (but still super cute!), coving up the tummy area
Hair Brush, Detangle Spray, and Hair Ties
When I go to the beach, I normally like to braid my hair so it’s out of my face. Plus when I’m done swimming, the salt in the water provides lots of texture so when my hair dries again it’s got beautiful beachy waves. Otherwise, if I don’t have it in braids, I bring a detangling brush and spray!
Sunscreen & After Sun Lotion
SPF is SOOOOO Important!! You should be wearing sunscreen every day, but especially when you’re out in the sun all day. As nice as a tan may look, sun damage adds up over your whole life. Wrinkles, sun spots, and a risk of melanoma just aren’t worth it! Cover up, reapply often, and use a sunless tanner to fake the glowing bronzed look.
Sandals or Flip Flops
Another essential- cute flip flops. Normally I like to walk around barefoot on the sand unless it’s super hot or rocky. I use a carabiner to carry my flip flops and hook them on my bag
If your beach is particularly rocky, you may want to wear swim shoes in the water to prevent cutting your feet on unseen rocks!
In addition to a cooler bag packed with snacks and drinks, I like a beautiful woven beach bag to carry my towel, clothes, etc. A wet bag is a good addition as well for your bathing suit/towel to not get everything wet. And a mesh bag works really well to help shake the sand off of toys!
Sand-proof Blanket and Beach Towel
A sand-proof towel to sit/lie on is a must! Plus an absorbent fast drying towel to wrap up in after a swim! These suggestions are good size, but fold up really small so they don’t take up too much room in your bag.
Pop Up Beach Tent
If you’re going to be out all day, it’s nice to bring your own shade. A Beach tent provides some privacy, wind protection and shade!
Privacy Screen or Change Tent
If you want the next step up for privacy, try these screens or pop up tents. Great if you have to change and don’t want to risk a nip slip!
Beach Umbrella, Ground stake, and Hooks
Another great way to bring your own shade is an umbrella! I like the one that comes with solar twinkle lights if you know you’ll be at the beach after the sun sets! Plus you’ll need a ground steak to help secure it in the sand. Bonus: Hooks or trays that attach right to the umbrella pole come in very handy for keeping things off the sand!
Towel Clips and Beach Chair
I found a few different types of beach chairs- from full loungers, to inflatable couches there are lots of comfortable options! Plus bring some towel clips to secure your towel to the chair without slippage!
A cold drink + hot air =condensation that sand sticks to! Prevent spillage and sandiness with these cupholders that dig right into the sand.
It’s always handy to have a small table for eating or card games! Both of these options fold up really small.
Floaties and Air Pump
What is a day at the beach without a pool floatie? These cute options are definitely insta worthy as well. #Beachday
I don’t care how old you are, beach toys are always fun to play with. Squirt guns, sand buckets, frisbees, or balls can provide endless entertainment.
Hopefully your beach has beautiful clear water to go snorkeling in! It’s so cool to watch the fish swim by.
This is one of my must haves for sure! I especially love the kinds that come with face misters too!
Never worry about having a dead phone battery (or kindle battery) with a solar charger on the beach!
Water and sand can wreck havoc on your phone! Make sure it’s protected with this case. Plus you can still use your phone through the plastic and the long cord means you’re less likely to drop it in the water.
Perfect for a party on the beach. Plus this version can synch two speakers for surround sound music!
Key Chain & Sunglass Floaties
Genius floating key chains so you never lose your keys in the ocean again. Even if you have an armband to keep your keys close in the water there is a risk they could fall off and sink. Keep a floatie attached to make them easier to grab! PS you can attach these to a waterproof camera, sunglasses, or other small items you don’t want to lose!
A cold beer or cooler on the beach is perfect, but you don’t want to get caught with open alcohol. Disguise your cans with these cozies that make it look like you’re just drinking a regular soda!
Safe & Hidden Storage for your valuables
I’m always paranoid people will steal my stuff on the beach. This little safe is great if you are in a place with trees or secured poles to wrap it around. Otherwise hidden storage in a water bottle or fake sun screen bottle is genius! Bonus: I’ve also seen a hack where you wrap your valuables in a diaper- no one wants to steal a dirty diaper!
So those are my Amazon Beach Essentials! What do you pack for the beach?
