Easter egg crafts are so cute! This adorable craft can either be strung up as a banner, or displayed as a table centerpiece. Try making this Easter Egg craft in different patterns and sizes! I prefer a slightly stiffer craft paper, but any kind will work. I used a regular glue stick, but if you are using thicker paper, you may need a stronger glue like Mod Podge. This easy Easter Egg Craft takes about 10 minutes or so and is a great craft for kids as well!

What you need:
  • Decorative Paper (If you want a really large egg, you may need more than 1 sheet)
  • Scissors
  • Glue stick
  • Pencil
  • Cardstock or light cardboard for Stencil

How to make 3D Easter Eggs
1. Create your Stencil by sketching and cutting an egg shape on your card stock. I folded the cardboard in half to make my egg symmetrical. An Egg shape is an oval that is slightly thicker on the bottom, and tapers at the top. If you want your egg to stand up at the end, make sure the bottom is flat or almost flat.

2. Fold your decorative paper over multiple times until it is the size you are looking for (the size of your stencil). I would aim for 2-4 folds in order to end up with 4-8 egg shapes.

3. Then sketch the egg stencil onto the decorative paper and cut out the shape. You could also just sketch the shape multiple times instead of folding, but I only wanted to cut out the shape once.

4. Fold each egg shape in half lengthwise (with the patterned side on the inside).
5. Take one egg shape, folded in half, and glue the outside (non patterned side). Stack the next folded egg shape on top. Repeat gluing the outside of the folded egg shape and stacking the cut out until you don’t have any more pieces.

6. Put glue on the outer half of the top egg shape, and unfold the entire egg so the first and last halves glue together.
